Audition Requirements
Auditions will be held in the afternoon on September 11th, 2010 at First United Methodist Church , 1700 W. State St. in West Lafayette. Please contact Carol Letcher, 765-463-0302 or CDLetcher@comcast.net for questions or audition times.

All instruments should prepare:
1) one minute of a prepared solo,
2) scales as outlined, and
3) the prepared excerpts which are found by clicking on the name of your instrument, listed below.
Violin I: Perform D melodic minor scale, three octaves, in triplet rhythm slur 3. Quarter note = 60.
Violin II: Perform B-flat major scale, three octaves, in triplet rhythm slur 3. Quarter note = 60.
Viola: Choose one of the scales below and perform in triplet rhythm, slurring 3. Quarter note = 60.

Cello: Perform scales in triplet rhythm, slurring 3. Quarter note = 60.

Double Bass: Choose one of the scales below and perform in given rhythm (1 eighth note followed by 6 sixteenth notes), slurring by the quarter beat. Quarter note = 60. Player chooses the starting octave.
